OK, we already have it, and now…what? We start off and go down the first path we see or that route that has been recommended to us…but do we have the necessary knowledge and skills? Going out into the unknown can only bring us bad experiences, take fears, bad habits, hurt us…and in the worst case have such a bad time that we want to sell the bike.

In order to enjoy our off road bike safely, the best thing to do is starting little by little and hand in hand with those who can advise us. That’s why in Murcia Off Road offer driving and navigation courses (GPS and Road Book) with the aim of giving you the necessary confidence to go out on the off road safely, so you can enjoy the off road and come back home, very tired of couse, but with a smile on your face and a desire for much more.
Objetive:
What we look for in this course is that you know your bike, that you feel comfortable on it and that you take the necessary technical and mechanical knowledge to go out on the track with security and confidence.
What we do in the one-day initiation course:
We start with a theoretical part where we explain you how the bike works (engine, inertias, electronic aids, basic mechanics) and we continue explaining the correct position on the bike (feet, hands, position of levers).
Before getting on the bike we see techniques on how to lift it correctly and “effortlessly”.
Then we move on to practical exercises on a closed circuit:
- Clutch touch
- Balance
- Turns
- Acceleration
- Braking
- Rises and falls
We finish the course with a route of about 50-100km to put into practice what we have learned and to solve doubts on the way.
Schedule:
We start the course around 9:00 with the theoretical part and exercises, at 13:00 we stop for lunch and then we continue with the route, we finish the day around 17:00.
As you can see, we call this course “basic” but it is the most important one and the one in which we give more information to the participants. We don’t want to do the typical 3-4 hour course where you hardly learn anything and you go home with many doubts, we prefer to be with you all day and that you can really taste what the off road bike is.

What we look for in this two-day course is that you know your bike deeply, that you feel comfortable on it and that you take the technical and mechanical knowledge necessary to go out on the track with security and confidence.
What do we do in the two-day beginners’ course?
To begin with we have a theoretical part where we explain how the bike works (engine, inertia, electronic aids, basic mechanics) and we continue explaining the correct position on the bike (feet, hands, position of levers).
Before getting on the bike we see techniques on how to lift it correctly and “effortlessly”.
Then we move on to practical exercises on a closed circuit:

Once we finish with the theory we put on our helmets and go out on the track to put into practice what we have learned with a route of about 100km in the direction of Caravaca de la Cruz. There we will spend the night and the next day we will return to Murcia, also off road.
In this two-day course, you will also be able to enjoy many more kilometers of tracks to put into practice what you have learned and improve your techniques. The instructors will correct you and give you advice on the way, so we get a much deeper immersion in the off road.

This is a basic course, aimed at all those who have never “touched” this way of navigating. Those of you who know what it is about are also invited, as we will always learn something (new symbols and nomenclature)
In the theoretical part we will talk about:
- What is a road book
- The parts that compose it
- How to read and interpret the pictures
- How to paint it to highlight the most important points
- The new symbols, the most usual and the not so usual
- THow to put the hated modifications…
And we will continue with a 100km route to put into practice what we have learned.
We hope that you will be encouraged to participate, that you will lose your fear of this type of navigation and discover a new way of travelling around the world that is more adventurous, fun and safe.
